Changelog & versioning

API versions

Current path prefix is /v1. Production should treat /v1 as backwards-compatible: additive fields only. Breaking changes require /v2 or a dated header such as Tarseek-Version.

The public changelog and compatibility policy are published here. Breaking API changes use a new path version; model retirement uses catalog lifecycle dates and documented sunset notices.

Compatibility

Additive response fields are not breaking.
Removing or renaming request fields is breaking.
Error code changes are breaking unless old codes are aliased.
Model IDs may be deprecated; document sunset on the catalog card.

Changelog

September 26, 2026. Email verification is required. Project invitations are emailed and must be accepted by the invited address. Account settings include a product-updates preference. Project alerts cover budget thresholds, model retirement, failed batches, API limits, and provider-key changes. Password changes send a security notice. Optional product-update campaigns are not sent.

September 14, 2026. Hosted tools include paginated web reading, date and time for an IANA timezone, and current, forecast, and historical weather.

September 12, 2026. Hosted tools, project secrets, embeddings, structured outputs, project and key policies, GPT Image generation and file-reference editing, and native batches.

September 11, 2026. Prompt caching, opt-in response caching, Responses and Messages, team administration, usage analytics, project budgets, provider keys, and request trace delivery.
